      Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu

Union Minister of Railways, Government of India

    • I am happy to hear that IBCHAM is on mission of promoting “Young India Women Entrepreneurship Mission” and committed to support the young generation to be a successful entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship quality is connected to job creation in small business and economic growth generally. New small business contributes to the flourishing of entrepreneurship as important catalysts or actors in technological innovations; as agents of change in market structure and competition environment and as critical forces in industrial restructuring and national competitive advantage. Women entrepreneurial development is one of the most important areas which are being focused upon by a majority of countries as a part of overall Human Resource Development. It is well ascertained by policy makers across the countries that strategic development of an economy requires equal participation and equal opportunities to all sectors and genders. When a woman is empowered it does not mean that another individual becomes powerless or is having less power. On the contrary, if a woman is empowered her competencies towards decision- making will surely influence her family's behavior. Such types of entrepreneurial activities lead to value addition and creation of wealth, which is very essential for the industrial and economic development of the country. It also plays an effective role in reducing the problem of unemployment in the country which in turn clears the path towards economic development of the nation. My best wishes for the success of IBCHAM entrepreneurship mission.

      Shri Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport, Highways & Shipping, Govt. of India

    • India has the world’s largest youth population despite having a smaller population than China. Today’s youth has come of age, shaped by an unprecedented revolution in technology and dramatic events both at home and abroad. Our budding youth, who have grown up with personal computers, cell phones and the internet are becoming resourceful assets of the country. They have become a broader economic phenomenon that has a major impact on the economy. As the globalism of business becomes even more widespread, this impact will be felt even more deeply. Our young talents have already become a major force in positioning India in the worldwide economy. The government of India is also very much concern for promoting entrepreneurship in the country. We are providing various schemes/ subsidies and special provisions for the category of entrepreneurs belonging to the schedule caste, schedule tribe and women. I firmly believe that the information about the benefits of government schemes/subsidies must be reached to the public at large. My good luck with IBCHAM for its time needed initiative.

      Shri Sadanand Gowda

Union Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India

    • I am pleased to learn that Indian Business Chamber (IBCHAM) is going to undertake “Young India Women Entrepreneurship Mission”- Promoting Innovation and New Gen Entrepreneurs”. It is worth mentioning here that no nation can improve unless its women get empowered. Moreover, a nation becomes strong only through proper utilization of its himan capital. We are unfortunate enough that majority of our population is below 35 years of age. In that sense, we are a nation of youth. And on behalf of such young people are women. So, empowerment of young women is one of the most important responsibilities of our government. Empowerment comes with financial independence which, in turn, comes through jobs either as an employee or as an employer. Modern day economics show us that countries can excel only through creation of more and more successful entrepreneurs. In that sense, Young India Women Entrepreneurship Mission: is the need of the hour. On this graceful occasion, I wish grand success to Indian Business Chamber for their present mission. I hope that very soon they will spread the mission all over the country.

      Shri Kalraj Mishra

Indian women are not only educated, ambitious and tech savvy but they also know how to invest their innovative minds. This helps them to juggle the tasks, mange all the chores and strike a fine balance between the professional career and personal lives. The great quality of communication, high degree of sincerity in profession, negotiation and budgeting skills are the basic requirement for being a successful entrepreneur which are very much ingrained in the modern Indian women. In order to promote women entrepreneurship in MSME sector, the Government of India, Ministry of MSME has been providing various schemes/ subsidies and special provisions. • Healthcare industry is growing at a tremendous pace owing to its strengthening coverage, services and increasing expenditure by public as well private players. India is a land of full of opportunities for existing as well as budding entrepreneurs in the medical service sector. Our country has also become one of the leading destinations for high-end diagnostic services with tremendous capital investment for advanced diagnostic facilities, thus catering to a greater proportion of population. The best part is that large populate of our country have become more conscious towards their healthcare upkeep. Hence, entrepreneurship opportunities in the sector have been growing day to day. The major challenges with the government are to take health care services to the last section of society at very affordable cost. Hence, there is huge need of innovation and experimentation in this sector. Shri Jual Oram

Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India

    • India is a country of villages as the majority of its population lives in villages and far-flung remote areas. The interesting fact is that every region of the country though connected with the cities now. But no one can undermine that the most of the rural communities/tribal areas are still devoid of modern facilities like education, electricity, proper drinking water, health care, ample transportation, etc. The Government of India has been taking various schemes in connection to upliftment of underprivileged section of the society with positive discrimination and affirmative action. However, I believe that promoting entrepreneurship will not only financially empower the people but also drive the society towards social innovation and transformation in various fields including education, health, environment and enterprise development. I am delighted to know that IBCHAM (Indian Business Chamber) has come forward with time needed initiative of “Women Entrepreneurship Mission” in tribal areas particularly focusing Tribal women. Shri P K Thakur, IPS

      Director General of Police, Bihar

    • I am happy to learn about IBCHAM (Indian Business Chamber) initiative towards bring awareness and educate the women about their safety and empowerment. Keeping in view the current era and arising crimes against women, the initiative is much time demanding and essential. In a thriving democratic set up, Police acts as a preserver of peace, law and order. It is trained not only to protect life, but to take life, and to give its own. Its vocation is people's life and death, both collectively and individually. We can only have good government if its individuals first govern themselves well, follow the script of citizenry. Good government is thus mirror to good se!f government. This brings good citizenship for all. And to be that citizen is to understand the value of self-discipline. The professional freedom of action, integrity, and a strong commitment to adhere to the law of the land without any fear or favour, are the hallmarks of a superior police force. Policing essentially is a public service and in a democratic set up, it affects large sections of society more seriously than any other agency of the government. Any malpractice or violations of human rights by the police comes into critical public gaze in the media and by human rights groups. The individual liberty and freedom guaranteed under the constitution and other criminal laws limit the powers and functions of the police officers in discharge of their duties. Police and public must communicate with each other and work in partnership to maintain trust between themselves. The principle of accountability is linked to responsibility that is exercised through legally enforceable rules. This accountability is at three levels - accountability to the people, accountability to law and accountability to the Police Organization. The role of the police has changed from the lathi-wielding, khaki-wearing individual. The police force requires an altogether new orientation; must don a new role as partner s in the development process, and are expected to be sensitive to human rights and gender issues. The ethos of police organization should be transformed from enforcement to enablement. Use of force must be based on the principles of necessity and proportionality. Force should be applied only to the extent required for the legitimate ends of law enforcement and maintaining public order. The prime duty of police is to prevent crime and disorder, and the police must recognize that the test of their efficiency is the absence of both and not the visible evidence of police action in dealing with them. The police must also realize that the efficient performance of their duties will be dependent on the extent of cooperation that they receive from the public. This, in turn, will depend on their ability to secure public approval of their conduct and actions and to earn and retain public respect and confidence. Integrity of the highest order is the fundamental basis of the prestige of the police. Recognizing this, Police must keep their private lives scrupulously clean, develop self-restraint and be truthful and honest in their thought and deed, so that public may regard them as exemplary citizens.
